We ride every kilometre before you do

Nothing outsourced, nothing bought off a wholesaler. We scout the roads ourselves, visit the hotels before we book them, and lead every tour in person.

Built for riders who already know what a good road feels like

Most of our riders are out four or five days a week and have a Wahoo on the bars. They don't need a holiday explained to them. They need someone who has already found the climbs, chosen the right hotel, and knows which café is worth the detour. That's the whole job.

The approach

Six things we
don't compromise on

Every tour begins with a recce trip months ahead. If we haven't ridden the road, it doesn't go in the itinerary.

01

Designed in-house

We build every tour from scratch. Weeks of scouting roads, visiting hotels and finding the cafés worth stopping at. No wholesaler, no white-label operator.

02

Eight to fifteen riders

Small enough to change the plan over breakfast and keep the group together on the road. You'll know everyone's name by the second morning.

03

The van is always there

Water, fruit, electrolytes and a spare wheel travel with the group. Tired legs on day six aren't a problem. Load the bike and ride along.

04

Real mechanical cover

Spares, tools, and someone who knows how to use them. A snapped hanger in the middle of Chianti doesn't end your week.

05

Hotels we have walked round

Farmhouse hotels in Chianti, boutique stays in Thailand, thermal springs in Bagno Vignoni. On every recce we look over several, check the rooms in person, and take the one that suits the tour, not the one with availability.

06

Off the highway

We take the small roads through villages. That's where the food is, and where a trip stops being a holiday and starts being a place.

Riders

Most riders come
back the next year

I would rather classify myself as an adventurer rather than an athlete. In the last three years with the Barnowl tours, I realised that all I needed was two wheels to be a little bit of both. The varying levels of difficulty catered to all fitness levels, so everyone could enjoy the journey at their own pace.

Krish is meticulous with his choice of places, routes and sites en route. The support provided on these tours is fantastic and makes it easy for first-timers to comfortably sign up for multi-day adventures. To top it all, the camaraderie among the riders keeps me coming back for more tours each year.
Srinivas Pratapa 11 tours since 2017
Imagine 600 km of switchbacks, climbs, waterfalls and coconuts. The struggle was real, the pleasure was unreal. We cycled over 20% gradients and pristine farms with the same vigour. Over those eight days we had the most memorable time of our lives.
Murali Ramakrishnan 9 tours since 2021 Reviewing the Mae Hong Son Challenge, 2022
Krish and team ensure we always ride along scenic routes, have some suffering in store to make it memorable, and provide amazing support through the rides. If you are a cyclist, a tour changes your perspective on what is possible.
Anand Arvind 9 tours since 2017
Everything about the trip -- the landscape, weather, accommodation, food and company -- was phenomenal and exceeded expectations. The terrain was spectacular and we covered about 500 km over five or six days. The gorgeous cafes we stopped at for coffee and lunch were real gems in uncharted territory.
Anil Nadimpalli Tour of Northern Thailand 2021
The rides were very well mapped out, with grand vistas and ever-changing peaceful scenery every day. The routes were impeccably recced, with stop-points for tea and food. Add the perfect support from the crew during the rides and we were well taken care of.
Balaram Krishna Meghalaya: Chasing Clouds 2022
The rides were scenic and challenged us. The food was in scrappy street-side cafes, but was healthy, clean, tasty and soulful. The support from the entire crew was spotless and the experiences are memorable. Made a lot of new friends and hope to continue riding together again.
