What we collect, why, and how to get it removed.

Barnowl Adventures is the legal entity behind this site and the one responsible for the personal information described here. We are registered in India under GSTIN 36ABBFB8272B1ZP, at G1, Sri Lakshmi Venkateshwara Nilayam, Raja Rajeshwari Nagar, Kondapur, Hyderabad, Telangana 500084, India.

What we collect
When you send an enquiry through this site we collect the details you type into the form: your name, email address, phone number, city, the tour you are interested in, and your message. We use them to answer your enquiry and to arrange your tour if you book one.
We do not sell your details, and we do not share them with third parties except where it is necessary to run your tour, a hotel booking for example, where a service we use stores them on our behalf, or where the law requires it.
Where your details are kept
Enquiries and bookings are stored on this website's own server, where only we can reach them. We use them to keep track of who has asked about what and what we have replied.
We never see or store your card or bank details. How you pay depends on the currency you are booking in.
In rupees, you can pay in your own banking app or by bank transfer, on your bank's screens rather than ours. All we record afterwards is the reference number you give us, so we can match the payment to your booking.
You can also pay in rupees by card or netbanking, which is handled by CCAvenue (Avenues India Private Limited), our payment gateway. You enter your card details on CCAvenue's own screens, not ours, and they never pass through this site. CCAvenue handles that information under their own privacy policy. What we receive back and keep is the amount, the currency, and CCAvenue's reference for the transaction, enough to know your payment succeeded and which booking it belongs to.
In dollars or euros, payment is taken by PayPal, who are the payment processor. You enter your card or PayPal details on PayPal's own screens, not ours, and they never pass through this site. PayPal handles that information under their own privacy policy. What we receive back and keep is the amount, the currency, and PayPal's reference for the transaction, enough to know your payment succeeded and which booking it belongs to.
Analytics and advertising
We use Google Analytics, the Meta (Facebook) pixel and Google Ads to understand how people find and use this site, and to measure our advertising. These services set cookies and may record your IP address, browser, device and the pages you visit. We use this in aggregate, to decide what to write and where to advertise.
Google Ads and the Meta pixel are also used for remarketing: that is, showing our advertisements to people who have already visited this site. That means Google and Meta are told which pages you looked at here, and can recognise you later on their own services and on other sites.
Some of this information is also sent to Meta from our own server as well as from your browser, so that a visit is counted once rather than twice. Where that happens, any email address or phone number you gave us is scrambled first, in a way that cannot be reversed back into the original.
You can block these with a browser extension or your browser's own privacy settings, and the site will work normally.
Media
If you send us photographs, please avoid ones with embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors to a website can download images and extract that data.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept for as long as we may reasonably need them to answer you and to run any tour you book, and for the period our accounts and tax obligations require afterwards.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to erase it. Email krish@barnowladventures.com and we will action it. This does not extend to data we are obliged to keep for legal, accounting or security reasons.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update this page. Last updated September 2026.
