Payments, refunds & cancellations

Two instalments, a fixed booking amount, and a refund schedule that is published rather than negotiated.

Payments

For all our tours, payment is taken in two instalments. The schedule depends on where the tour is.

Tour locationFirst paymentSecond payment
India and Asia50% of the total, transferred at the time of bookingThe remaining 50%, transferred 30 days before the tour starts
Europe50% of the total, transferred at the time of bookingThe remaining 50%, transferred 60 days before the tour starts

All our prices are inclusive of GST, charged under GSTIN 36ABBFB8272B1ZP. On booking, a ₹5,000 amount is collected to reserve your spot. Within three days of paying it, the balance of the first payment must be completed by bank transfer.

Paying by bank transfer

The account details are on your own payment page, which you reach with the booking reference we send you. Sign in to your booking if you no longer have it.

Always confirm the details with us directly before transferring money. We will never email you different ones.

Cancellation

In the unlikely event that we are unable to operate the tour, your deposit and tour costs are refunded to you in full, or transferred to another tour, whichever you prefer.

If you need to cancel your own reservation, the cancellation fee is set by the schedule below. Percentages are calculated on the amount we have received from you. There is no refund for arriving late or leaving a trip early.

How to cancel, and when you are refunded

To cancel, write to krish@barnowladventures.com or call +91 99660 40005. The date we receive your cancellation is the one the schedule above is measured from, so send it as soon as you know.

Approved refunds are processed within 7 to 10 business days. How long it then takes to reach your account depends on your bank. A refund goes back by the route the money came in on: a card payment to the same card, a bank transfer to the account it came from.

Where a refund is due outside the schedule

Beyond the bands above, a refund is due if we do not run the tour as described, or if we cannot run it at all. In either case you choose between a full refund and a place on another tour.

Two things are not refundable: a tour you have ridden, and the part of a tour you left early or joined late. Where a tour is partly run and cut short by something on our side, we refund the part not delivered.

Things outside our control

We are not liable for delay or cancellation caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, extreme weather, strikes, civil unrest, epidemics, and decisions of governments or the police. If one of these stops a tour we will tell you as soon as we know and set out your options, and we will pass on whatever we can recover from hotels and transport providers.

This is the reason travel insurance is a condition of booking. It covers what a tour operator cannot.
