Goa: Monsoon Miles
Goa: Monsoon Miles
Goa, well known as it is for the sea, sand, seafood and fun, has a delightfully endearing but often-missed side; the less explored Goa with its serene country roads, dazzling white washed churches, quaint local spots, magnificent Portuguese era colonial houses, its verdant fields, forests, farmlands, and ferry crossings.
In August, as the rains washes the surrounding, they leave behind a remarkable charm; everything is squeaky clean and fresh, there’s a burst of green all around, and it’s lined by gurgling brooks, streams and glorious waterfalls. The tranquil ponds and water filled stone quarries become natural swimming pools.
Monsoon Miles is a 4 day cycling indulgence in the pure magic of monsoon Goa, with enough time to relax, unwind the Goan way.

Back to the resort before it gets hot.

FAQs
This tour is not for absolute beginners but is suitable for those comfortable with 50-70 km rides. On three of the four days, we ride an average of 50-60 km. On the longer day, which is Day 3, you have the option to choose between a shorter and a longer route. This flexibility makes the tour suitable for a wider range of riders. Plus, we stay in the same hotel for 4 nights, so if you need to turn back earlier, that’s always an option.
The roads are perfect for cycling, so a road bike would be the right choice. If you’re not used to road bikes, a fast hybrid will also work well.
August is part of the monsoon season in Goa, so you can expect rain showers. The temperature is usually pleasant, with everything lush and green, making for a refreshing and scenic ride. Be sure to carry rainwear for both on and off the bike.
We should have network coverage along the majority of our routes. The hotel where we will be staying has Wi-Fi available.
For the entire tour, we will be based at Beleza By the Beach, a beautiful 4-star resort on Betalbatim beach. We won’t be changing accommodations during the tour.
We will organize a group pick-up from Dabolim Airport on August 14th and transfer you to Beleza By the Beach. On August 18th, after checkout, we will drop you back at Dabolim Airport in time for your flight.
On Day 3, you have the option to choose between a trek and a ride. On Day 4, we will visit Braganza House en route, a historic mansion showcasing Portuguese colonial architecture and artefacts in Chandor, South Goa. Additionally, our resort is just a short walk from the beach, perfect for relaxation and seaside strolls.
A typical group size for our tours ranges between 6 to 14 participants.
Unfortunately, we’re unable to provide rental bikes of the appropriate quality, so we don’t offer that option.
Yes, if you let us know in advance, we can definitely assist you. Please note that this is a long weekend, so rooms will be in short supply. The earlier you inform us, the better.
